FIC Report (Nasarawa State) – The National Brand Development and Made in Nigeria Project says that it is committed to driving the project, aiming to attract both national and foreign investors to local content development in the Country.

Dr Osolafia Muhammed, who is the Nasarawa State Project Coordinator stated this while speaking with newsmen in Lafia at the unveiling of the office accommodation.

According to him, the project is a flagship project of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, designed to promote homegrown industrialization, enhance local content development and drive inclusive economic growth across 774 Local Governments in Nigeria.

Muhammed explained that the project was designed to also bring to the fore the local raw material and indigenous materials of the country so as to influence foreign direct investment to the country.

The State Coordinator said that the project had been adopted and domesticated in Nasarawa State for full operationalization.

Muhammed commended the State Government under the leadership of Gov. Abdullahi Sule for capturing the project in the 2026 budget.

“So, we have a budget line to implement the project of the Made in Nigeria in Nasarawa state, like an exhibition, trade fair to showcase and promote whatever we produce locally.

“And to create a market and a platform for all our entrepreneurs to have assets, to drive in foreign direct investment to the state. So, we are starting small, and by the grace of God, we are going to grow bigger,” he assured.

The State Coordinator said that his team has been working hard presently to identify and document raw materials that have been abandoned and agricultural products available in the state with a view to harnessing and creating a market for them.

“What we want to achieve at the end of the day is to produce what we eat, produce what we consume, and also to produce what will bring impact and development to our dear state,” he said.

Muhammed, therefore, called on people of the state, entrepreneurs, content creators, artisanal artists, investors, development partners, and private organizations to partner with the project to harness local content and present it to the world.

Also speaking, Mr Ibrahim Lawal, State Secretary, National Brand Development and Made in Nigeria, said the office has a mandate to promote goods and services that were produced locally in Nasarawa state.

“We are committed to executing the mandate of this project, in terms of promoting local content, like food production, clothing, textile, craftsmanship, creative industry like music, art and culture. Our core mandate is to see that we promote these local content creators within the state,” he said.
