NDE seeks ties with FIC Ilorin on Reportage of its Activities

FIC Report (Kwara State) – The State Coordinator, National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Kwara state, Mr Kudabo Gabriel Olufemi, has sought for strong synergy between his agency and the Federal Information Centre Ilorin in the area of reportage of his agency activities in the state.

Mr Kudabo said this during his courtesy visit to Federal Information Centre, Ilorin, recently.

According to him, his visit to the Centre was borne out of the need for both agencies to explore areas of collaboration, particularly, as it affects news coverage of his agency’s activities in the state.

He noted that his agency has been a front burner towards making Nigerians, especially the teeming youths, more productive and self reliant rather than indulging in acts of social vices. He stressed the need for the Centre to bring to the public, the activities of the Directorate in the state through publicity and coverage of its programmes.

Mr Kudabo highlighted some of the agency’s programmes such as Graduate Attachment Program (GAP), Rural Empowerment Program (REP) and Small Scale Enterprise.

Speaking earlier, the Head of Centre Federal Information Centre, Ilorin, Alhaji Hammed Abubakar, welcomed the new State Coordinator and his team to the Centre. He acknowledged that the visit was demonstrative of the age long working and healthy relationship of both agencies, especially as it affects promoting Federal government policies and programmes.

He admitted that the Directorate of Employment has always been a pathfinder in harnessing the potentials of our teeming youths in the state, he therefore assured of the readiness of the Ministry, through the Centre, to work in partnership with the Directorate to achieve more of its mandate.
