New Acting Chief Registrar emerges in Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Yakubu Umar has on Monday December 29, 2014 approved the appointment of AbdulMalik O. Shaibu as Acting Chief Registrar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal following the recent appointment of the former Chief Registrar, Bello Kawu as the FCT High Court Judge.

This was contained in a letter titled: “Appointment as Acting Chief Registrar” with reference number: CCT/HQ/618/6/5 and  signed by the Director of Administration, A. M. Badisha on December 18, 2014 which said that the Chairman conveyed the approval of his new appointment as the Acting Chief Registrar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal with effect from December 18, 2014.

According to the letter, AbdulMalik Shaibu obtained the Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Benin in 1986 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in October 1987. It explained further that his early career spanned private legal practice and many years in the banking sector before joining the Code of Conduct Tribunal in December 2006 and rising to the position of Director of Legal Services in January 2013. He was appointed to the post of Acting Chief Registrar in 2010 and occupied it till June 2011.

AbdulMalik Shaibu is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He is married with children.
