As Jamaica commemorates another milestone in its nationhood, Nigeria joins the international community in celebrating the country’s remarkable achievements in democratic governance, socio-economic development, cultural excellence, and its enduring contributions to regional and global affairs.
Nigeria and Jamaica share deep historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties rooted in our common African heritage. Over the years, our bilateral relations have continued to flourish through cooperation in diplomacy, trade, education, culture, tourism, sports, and multilateral engagement within the Commonwealth, the United Nations, and other international fora.
The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to further strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation with Jamaica in pursuit of shared prosperity, sustainable development, and the advancement of South-South cooperation.
Nigeria looks forward to expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including investment, the creative economy, agriculture, education, technology, climate resilience, and youth empowerment.
As the people of Jamaica celebrate this significant national occasion, Nigeria wishes the Government and people of Jamaica continued peace, unity, progress, and prosperity.
