The Management of the Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Call for Nominations and Applications for the prestigious Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM) Award is now open to all Nigerians, both within the country and abroad.
The NNOM Award is distinct from the National Honours Award and represents a separate and esteemed honour. It recognizes individuals who have made exceptional and valuable contributions to the advancement and development of Nigeria in their respective fields. The award specifically celebrates achievements, inventions and innovations in academia, as well as in non-academic sectors, honouring those who have excelled in their various fields of endeavours.
The NNOM Award is presented across four broad categories:
1. Science
2. Medicine
3. Engineering/Technology
4. Humanities (including Arts and Culture) and other notable fields of human endeavour.
All Nigerians who have made significant contributions in these areas are encouraged to apply.
Nomination forms are available free of charge and can be obtained at the Nigerian National Merit Award Secretariat, located in Maitama, Abuja, or downloaded from the agency’s official website at nnmaabuja@gmail.com.
Completed forms, along with supporting documents, should be submitted to the Acting Secretary, Nigerian National Merit Award Secretariat at Merit House, No. 22 Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja, on or before 31st March, 2025.
