Obaseki Boosts Traffic Response with 256 New Recruits, Opens Training Academy

FIC Report (Edo State) – The Edo State Government has recruited 256 new officers into the Edo State Traffic and Management Agency (EDSTMA) and built a training and manpower development center to strengthen the response to traffic management with the metropolis.

In a statement, Legal Adviser/Secretary, EDSTMA, Iryn Omorogiuwa, said the Passing Out Parade (POP) for the newly recruited officers will hold on Friday July 10, 2020, at the Agency’s Head Office, along Sapele Road in Benin City.

She noted that the ceremony will also feature the commissioning of the EDSTMA Training and manpower Development Centre

Managing Director (MD) of EDSTMA, Oloriegbe Dennis Ade, noted that the Training and Manpower Academy was constructed by Governor Godwin Obaseki – led administration to assist the agency in the discharge of its duties in line with global best practices.

“The Academy will serve as a Centre for drivers’ training programmed to sharpen their skills”.
