FIC Report (Osun State) – The newly deployed Residential Electoral Commissioner REC,Bar. Mrs Oluwatoyin has commended the commissioner of police in Osun state for his exemplary leadership and role in ensuring a peaceful and secured environment in the state and thereby sought for more robust synergy especially during the forth coming Governorship election in the state.
The newly deployed REC and her team made this known in the familiarization visit to the Commissioner, CP Ibrahim Gotan mnips at the Police Headquarters, Ring road,Osogbo.
“The visit is aimed to foster a stronger working relationship between the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Nigeria police”, she said.
In his response, the CP said that the Nigeria police Force is committed to supporting the INEC in their efforts to conduct free,fair and credible elections.
He promised the REC of his continue support and cooperation in terms of providing enable environment during the election to make it free,fair and credible come August 15,2026.
