 ORDERS OF THE DAY:  BILLS:

1.A Bill for an Act to Amend the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria Act, 2007 to be in tandem with what obtains in the Procurement Professional Practice across the Globe and for Related Matters (HB.346) (Hon. Sani Aliyu Madaki) – Second Reading. The second reading of the Bill stepped down by leave of the House.

2.A Bill for an Act to Amend the University Teaching Hospitals (Reconstitution of Boards, etc.) Act, Cap. U15, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and for Related Matters (HB.962) (Hon. Ukodhiko Ajirioghene Jonathan) – Second Reading. The bill was voted on, approved, and referred to the House Committee on Health Institutions.

 MOTIONS:

3. Rescission of Clauses 4 (2), 11 (1), and 15 (6) of the NABRO Bill, 2023: The motion was voted on, adopted, and referred to the committee of the Whole.

4. Call for National Disaster Insurance Scheme: Hon. Biodun Omoleye Francis: The motion was, adopted and referred to the House Committee on National Emergency Management, Environment, Finance, Human Rights as well as that on Legislative Compliance.

5. Call for Channelization of Wase Dam to Neighbouring Communities in Gezawa/Gabasawa Federal Constituency: The motion was voted on, adopted as amended, and referred to the House Committee on Water Resources.

6. Deplorable State of Road Network in the Federal Housing Estate, Alimosho Federal Constituency of Lagos State: Motion stepped down by leave of the House.

7. Need to Rescue the Nigerian Economy from imminent Collapse and Restore Investors’ Confidence in the System: The motion was adopted and referred to the House Committees on Finance, Banking and Currency as well as that on Customs and Excise.

8. Need to Review the 2024 Hajj Fare Payable by Intending Pilgrims:. The motion was adopted as amended and referred to the House Committee on Muslim Pilgrimage.

  1. Need to Investigate Abuse of Due Process in the Award of Contract and Constructions of Metropolitan Fire Stations in FCT, Lagos, Abeokuta, Minna, Kano, and Enugu States: Motion stepped down by leave of the House.
  2. Need to Fund Mangu Dam Project to Completion: The motion was voted on, adopted as amended, and referred to the House Committee on Water Resources.
  3. Alleged Non–Non-Remittance and Under–Remittance of Tax by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of Government, Oil Companies and Other Organisations: Motion stepped down by leave of the House.
  4. Need to Curtail the Dangerous Effects of Sports Betting and Direct the National Lottery Regulatory Commission to comply with the Lottery Regulatory Commission Act, 2005:. The motion was adopted and referred to the House Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs.
  5. Need to Immortalise the Late, Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) CON in Recognition of his Tremendous Contributions to National Development. Motion stepped down by leave of the House.
