The attention of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has been drawn to a misleading reportage of one of the key points highlighted by the Hon Minister at the Ministerial Sectoral Update on the first anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that took place yesterday on Monday 27th May, 2024 at the National Press Center, Abuja.
For the avoidance of doubt, what the Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen Abubakar Kyari was informing Nigerians is that “arising from the wheat production under the 118,657 hectares, it is estimated that the wheat grains is valued at N309 Billion Naira.”
It is to be noted that 15 States were involved in wheat production across 118,657 hectares and employing 107,429 farmers during the period.
