PSIN Boss Prioritises Security, Introduces Shuttle Service to Ease Student Access

The Administrator/CEO of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Barrister Imeh Okon, has reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to safety and operational integrity while addressing concerns raised by parents and teachers of the PSIN Primary School in Dutse Alhaji.

During a meeting with the delegation, which requested the reopening of the Institute’s back gate to ease students’ access, Barrister Okon explained that the gate was shut as part of strengthening security measures across the facility.

She stressed that PSIN’s core mandate remains the training and capacity development of civil servants, necessitating strict adherence to security protocols.

In a responsive move to support the school community, the Administrator/CEO approved the provision of a dedicated shuttle bus to convey pupils to and from the designated access point during school hours, specifically between 7:00am–8:00am and 2:00pm–3:00pm.
Barrister Okon further assured stakeholders that existing security arrangements within the Institute are robust and adequate, cautioning against the introduction of external security personnel that could compromise established systems.

The decision underscores PSIN’s balanced approach, in safe guarding its premises while also ensuring the welfare and convenience of pupils and their families.
