Rev. Uma Ukpai leads South-East Traditional Rulers to Prayers to Seek God’s Face in Redeeming the Times

FIC Report (Abia State) – Southeast Christian Traditional Rulers on Mission (SECTROM) Peace and Conflict Resolution Initiative with Christian Association of Nigeria came together to seek the face of God on how to bring peace and unity to the southeast region and move the region forward.

The One Day Solemn Assembly Prayer Summit held at Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia witnessed the presence of Traditional Rulers with Rev. Uma Ukpai leading the prayer with other notable Men of God.

Speaking on the Theme “Redeeming the Pride and Glory Of Ndigbo in the Contemporary Times” Rev. Uma Ukpai said at this time of our lives every well meaning Igbo Sons and Daughters should go on their knees and pray for the region adding that the killings in the Zone can not be allowed to continue.

He also called on Nigerians to realize that Igbos are part of Nigeria and should be given their rights in everything including the right to produce the next President.

The Man of God called on the Traditional Rulers to be fervent in prayers, administer their domain with the fear of God and avoid distractions of any kind.

Speaking to Press Men after the occasion, the Chairman, Umuahia North Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Onyebuchi Ibezim said it is a good thing for Traditional Rulers to come together and pray adding that such prayers can move mountain and bring healing to our land.

Contributing, Eze Ogbonnaya Uwadiegwu says SECTROM has the mission of ensuring that there is peace and tranquility in Igboland.

He said the problem of Igbo man is having an individualism spirit that lacks cooperative spirit. He said when everyone continue to struggle at the end just little is achieved. He urged Igbos to come together with the aim of conquering their environment.

Speaking also the Co-ordinator of the program, HRM Eze Ogbuka Origa said the purpose of the program is to galvanize and lend support for a righteous leadership in Igbo land and across Nigeria.

He called on Igbos to look at their character with the aim of correcting some of the misnomer around them.
