Resolutions: (i) Urge the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to provide urgent relief assistance to the affected Communities;
(ii) Also urge the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide relief materials and medical attention to flood victims in Jigawa and Kano States;
(iii) further urge the Ecological Fund Office and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to take practical measures towards forestalling future occurrences to enlighten residents of Jigawa and Kano States on early warning signs, clear drainages and canals to ease the flow of water;
(iv) again urge the State Governments to embark on an awareness campaign for possible response activities in high-risk areas to mitigate further disaster;
(v) mandate the Committees on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness and Environment to ensure compliance and report back within five (5) weeks for further legislative action The motion was voted on and adopted.

Notes that fundamental issues which require fresh legislative action emerged hence reconsideration of the Bills.
Resolution: Rescind its decision on the Bills as passed and commit same to the Committee of the Whole for reconsideration. The motion was voted on and adopted.
