FIC Report (Lagos State) – On Tuesday, 12th November, 2024, Mrs. Comfort Ajiboye, the Director of Public Communication and Acting Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Information & National Orientation, Abuja, paid an official visit to Federal Information Centre Lagos and the Liaison office located on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. The purpose of the visit was to foster an interactive session with staff, discussing key developments within the ministry and enhancing communication between the headquarters and the regional office.
Mrs. Ajiboye was accompanied by Mr. Okeke Silvanus, Deputy Director, along with a representative from the finance department. Their presence highlighted the ministry’s commitment to ensuring operational alignment and addressing any challenges faced by the regional offices.
The delegation was warmly received by the Federal Information Centre (FIC) Lagos and liaison office team. The visit included an interactive session with staff providing a platform for open dialogue on work place condition and operational needs, during the session Mrs Ajiboye emphasize her commitment to enhancing the work environment. She announced plans to refurbish the FIC LAGOS office to foster a more conducive and efficient work space for all employees.
The meeting emphasized the ministry’s goals of promoting transparency, improving internal communications and ensuring that staff at all levels are well informed and equipped to execute the Ministry’s objectives effectively.
In her remarks, Mrs. Ajiboye expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Lagos office in representing the ministry’s interests and addressing public communication needs in the region. She further encouraged collaboration and dedication to advancing the goals of the ministry across all offices nationwide.
The interactive session concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to fostering unity and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the ministry’s operations.
