The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun has joined Vice President Kashim Shettima at the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The Vice President is leading Nigeria’s delegation at this premier global economic gathering.

Ahead of the event, the Honourable Minister expressed optimism about Nigeria’s economic trajectory while granting audience to Africa Business Magazine, he stated that Nigeria’s economic policies are yielding tangible results with an increase in domestic refining capacity, a stable exchange rate, and greater fiscal transparency are laying the foundation for sustainable growth and bolstering Nigeria’s reputation as an attractive investment destination.

He highlighted key achievements under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, citing improved foreign reserves, rising government revenue, and transformative infrastructure and energy projects. HM Edun underscored the government’s commitment to inclusivity, noting that social protection programmes have already reached millions of Nigerians.

Nigeria’s active participation at the World Economic Forum demonstrates its determination to lead global economic conversations and foster inclusive growth. The country’s economic policies are yielding tangible results, and its commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and sustainable development is paving the way for a brighter future.
