FIC Report (Kwara State) – The Michael Imodu National Institute for Labour Studies has commemorated 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
The event which took place on Monday April 28, 2025 themed “Digital Labour: The Impact of AI and Automation on Workers’ Safety and Well-being in the Digital Labour Landscape.”
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Theophilus Oshoneye, highlighted the pros and cons of AI and Automation in the Workplace.
Dr. Adamade Slyvanus, one of the organisers, also identified Potential Hazards in AI-Driven Workplaces, shedding light on crucial safety considerations in the digital landscape.
The event attracted various stakeholders, including representatives from the Nigeria Police, Fire Service, Federal Information, VIO, FRSC, NSCDC, NLC, TUC, and NURTW.
