FIC Report (Edo State) – In a significant move to improve healthcare access for Nigeria’s underserved populations, the Enabulele Foundation has launched a series of health relief programs aimed at reaching the most vulnerable communities across the country. Marking its first anniversary, the foundation recently organized a large-scale free medical outreach in Uselu, Edo State, demonstrating its commitment to bridging the healthcare gap faced by millions of Nigerians.
The Outreach took place at Uselu Market in Benin City and drew a considerable crowd of 200 persons (women, children, and indigent residents) seeking Medical attention. Healthcare Professionals, including Doctors and Nurses led by Dr. Adego Eferakeya, a renowned Family Physician, provided free Medical screenings and basic Health Services to those in need.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the Director General of the Foundation, emphasized that the program is part of a broader effort to give back to the Community by addressing the widespread healthcare challenges in Nigeria. He highlighted that approximately 133 million Nigerians live in multidimensional poverty, many of whom cannot afford quality healthcare services. “This access gap remains a major obstacle, and we believe it is our responsibility to help bridge it,” he stated.

Dr. Enabulele noted that the Foundation’s mission extends beyond healthcare, encompassing various aspects of community development, but underscored that health is fundamental to overall progress. “If people are not healthy, they cannot participate fully in society or improve their living conditions,” he explained.
He called on Government Agencies, Private Sector Partners, and other Stakeholders to collaborate with the foundation in expanding such humanitarian efforts. The initiative aims to reach more underserved Communities, providing vital Medical services and raising awareness about Health issues.
As Nigeria continues to grapple with healthcare disparities, the Enabulele Foundation’s proactive approach serves as a vital example of how targeted community-driven interventions can make a tangible difference in the lives of Nigeria’s most vulnerable citizens.
