Lagos State Govt. Seeks FG’s Support In Addressing Industrial Pollution

The Federal Government of Nigeria extends its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of the Republic of Ghana following the devastating floods that struck large parts of the country, including the capital, Accra, after torrential rainfall. The disaster has tragically claimed the lives of at least 12 people, displaced many residents, destroyed homes and infrastructure, and caused widespread disruption to livelihoods.

Nigeria is profoundly saddened by this tragic loss of life and the immense hardship being endured by affected families and communities. At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, those who sustained injuries, and all those whose homes and means of livelihood have been adversely affected by this natural disaster.

The Government of Nigeria commends the swift response of emergency services, security agencies, and volunteers who continue to undertake rescue, relief, and recovery operations in the affected areas. We are confident that the resilience, solidarity, and determination of the Ghanaian people will prevail as the country recovers from this unfortunate tragedy.

Nigeria stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Ghana during this period of mourning and Nigeria prays for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who lost their lives, the speedy recovery of the injured, and strength and comfort for all those affected by this disaster.
