The newly appointed Permanent Secretary Special Duties Office (SDO), in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Mr Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam , has pledged to operate an open door policy were staff ideas will be harnessed to achieve the mandate of the Office.
Mr. Ogbodo gave the assurance during a formal handing-over ceremony held at the OHCSF on Friday, 7th February 2025, in Abuja. He expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, for the confidence reposed on him with his appointment as a Federal Permanent Secretary.
Ogbodo said he would prioritise co-operation and collaboration as tools to achieve the key reforms initiatives of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan, 2021-2025 (FCSSIP-25).
He urged the staff to put in their best to achieve the mandate of the office.
In her remarks, Permanent Secretary, Service Policy and Strateges Office, Dr. Deborah .O.N. Odoh, who oversaw the office before his appointment, thanked God for the grace to function effectively during the period. She extended her thanks to the staff of the Special Duties Office, for the support they gave her and admonished them to do same to the new Permanent Secretary.
The event was attended by Directors and Heads of units under the Special Duties Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
