Proactive Policing: Delta CP Tours Strategic Locations Along Ughelli-Patani Expressway, Re-emhasises Professional Conduct And Human Rights Compliance
FIC Report (Delta State) – The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, mnips, on Friday 5th June 2026 continued his visibility policing and supervisory tour across key formations and flashpoints in the State
Disclosing this in a press statement, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP. Bright Edafe, noted that the tour covered critical points including Edjekota junction, Evwreni juntion, Ohoro junction, and other stop and search points along the expressway, where the CP assessed security deployments and addressed officers on duty.
He commended their efforts while reminding them that the command would not tolerate any form of misconduct or complaints from the public. The CP directed that officers must be properly dressed, maintain a smart appearance and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to the statement, the CP charged officers to remain vigilant, observe professionally and engage members of the public with courtesy and respect.
He further warned against any form of abuse, harassment, or incivility, stressing that policing must be carried out with a human face and in strict adherence to human rights standards.
The CP reassured residents of the State, that Delta State Police Command under his leadership remained committed to ensuring the safety of life and property, while urging members of the public to support the Police with credible and timely information.
