FIC Report (Ebonyi State) – The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah has intensified efforts to improve healthcare services and workforce development for his constituents through a strategic partnership with the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH).
Ogah disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director of UATH, Prof. Thairu Yunusa, in Abuja on Tuesday, where both parties explored areas of collaboration aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery, professional capacity building and institutional support.
The lawmaker said the visit formed part of his commitment to people-oriented representation and his determination to attract opportunities that would improve the welfare of residents of Ikwo and Ezza South communities.
According to him, strengthening partnerships with key national institutions remains critical to addressing healthcare challenges and ensuring access to quality medical services for the people.
Ogah noted that the discussions focused on healthcare development initiatives, workforce training, knowledge exchange and other programmes capable of improving service delivery within the constituency.
He reaffirmed his resolve to leverage strategic relationships with reputable institutions to deliver tangible benefits to his constituents and support government efforts aimed at strengthening the nation’s healthcare system.
Speaking during the meeting, the Chief Medical Director of UATH, Prof. Yunusa, commended the federal lawmaker for his proactive leadership and commitment to fostering collaboration between public institutions and elected representatives.
He described the engagement as a positive step towards building partnerships that would contribute to improved healthcare outcomes and professional development within the sector.
The meeting underscored Ogah’s sustained drive to utilize stakeholder engagement and institutional collaboration as tools for advancing development and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency.
